DESCRIPTION:

 

 

STARRBIDE is a high quality tar-bonded silicon carbide crucible. It has been designed for reliable performance across the full range of non ferrous melting and holding applications.

 

 

APPLICATIONS:

 

Consistant performance for aluminum as well as for higher temperature alloys such as brass and bronzes. Other variants are available for specific applications.

 

 

TYPICAL METAL CASTING TEMPERATURE:

 

1300°F—2200°F ●  700°C —1200°C

 

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS

 

· Good thermal shock resistance

· Good Resistance to attack by chemicals

· High Mechanical Strength

 

 

PATTERN RANGE

STARRBIDE crucibles are available in a comprehensive range of shapes and sizes to suit most end user requirements. Custom sizes are available by special request.

Heavy Wall (HW) can be supplied. A wide range of pouring ips are available.
