Bid SpecificationsPART NO. 902031 MODEL T-2500-HT-AC-OF (Hydraulic Tilt - Automatic Control - Oil Fired) Tilting Crucible Furnace. nose pour configuration, same as above model except this unit has automatic temperature control. The control instrument monitors both the bath and chamber temperatures and adjusts the firing of the burner accordingly to compensate for temperature overshoot. Also featured is ramp/soak programming capability. The controls are housed in a free standing Nema 1 rated cabinet. The exhaust is to the rear and is adaptable for recuperative burner systems. Lid lift and furnace tilt are hydraulically assisted and have flow controls to regulate the speed of the tilt or lift. Operator platform is included so that operator can safely control metal stream when tilting. Furnace includes crucible base block. Crucible is extra. Approximate shipping weight is 24,000 lbs. Part No. 902035 MODEL DO-300A-OF There are 3 sizes of Oil Fired Dip-Out furnaces. The A series are for melting aluminum or other low temperature metals. Size ranges are from 300 lbs. capacity to 1,000 lb. of aluminum. The standard model uses two thermocouples. One thermocouple is placed in the molten metal bath and the other thermocouple is placed in the firing chamber wall. Burner control is automatic by means of a two loop, microprocessor based temperature controller, using a function called Cascade Control. The control system is supplied in a free standing, Nema 1 rated cabinet with a fused disconnect. This type of control uses two setpoints and is much more accurate than the single loop type of control. It minimizes overshoot of the bath set point and also has programming features that allow the operator to have idle programs. These programs can provide additional oil savings and increased production capabilities. The burner system is a single, high velocity burner with proportioned control. Includes an FM approved safety system, which consists of spark ignition, bypass pilot, blower air switch, hi-lo oil pressure switch, oil solenoid valve, shut-off cock, high and low fire pre-ignition purges, oil regulator, and continuous flame monitoring. This system provides for automatic shut-down in the event of power failure, blower failure, too high or too low oil pressure, or flame failure. System must be manually reset after any of these failures before restarting. The safety system also has a pre-ignition purge and a diagnostic module is included for analyzing flame failure, should one occur. Wiring conforms to the National Electric Code and all components are either U.L. listed or CSA approved. The furnace lining is a combination of high alumina fire brick, backed up by 3000° castable and ceramic fiber. This combination reduces weight, gives exceptional insulating properties, and helps to reduce oil consumption. Each unit comes with a crucible base block. Crucible is extra. |
